Young adults with Usher Syndrome Learn First Aid
June-July 2009: This important class is taking place in Tel Aviv, at the Center for Deaf-Blind Persons. It provides deaf-blind young adults, for the first time in their lives, with the opportunity to learn these skills.

Our Social Recreation Club and Jewish Identity Program continue to tour the country. Trips this year included an overnight trip to Northern Israel, a day trip to Southern Israel and a day trip to Kfar Chabad and a matzo factory.
First ever Professional Conference at the Social and Rehabilitation Center for Arab Youth with Usher Syndrome
June 2009: The highly successful conference was full to capacity and included moving personal stories as well as professional presentations.
New teacher at the Karten CTEC Center for People with Deaf-Blindness (Learning Center):
Sharon is a blind and hard of hearing man, an outstanding teacher who has truly mastered the use of the Braille and JAWS programs.
Lecture by Avichai Sheli
Avichai is an extraordinary severely hard-of-hearing-blind individual who won first place in the International Bible Contest, served in the Israeli army, studied business administration and now works in the stock market.
He shared his inspiring story with members of our Social Recreation Club.
